Together in the Woodshed #5: Sheila Jordan

Sheila Jordan

The fifth episode of my podcast, “Together in the Woodshed,” featuring conversations with great artists about teaching and learning music, is now available! This episode’s guest is Sheila Jordan, one of my singing mentors and an incredible teacher who herself learned from Charlie Parker and many other wonderful bebop musicians.

This interview was recorded nearly a year ago, and it’s a lovely conversation about learning how to trust your own instincts as a musician. Sheila just turned 87 years old and is on the road much of the year – catch her in Japan in December!
